Positions Available:

Car Park & Camping Steward

The car park & camping areas are open from Friday 26th May 2017 and it's vital that they run efficiently from the very start. You'll be working direct with our Car Park & Camping Managers.

General Steward

This includes working in the Main Arena area, emergency exits, by the stages and generally helping with the overall smooth running of the festival

Social Media Team

This posiiton would ideally be suited to someone experienced in social media & digital marketing or an under-graduate looking for first hand work experience (All applications will be considered though). You will need to be outgoing, love face to face contact with our great festival go-ers and up for having some fun. The roles include working with our marking manager and creating a 'buzz' both onsite & online ensuring that the 'customer experience' is shown on all our channels. 

What hours will I work?

Car Park & Camping Stewards - 2 x 7.5hr shifts Fri & Sat

General Stewards - 3 x 5hr shifts Fri, Sat & Sun

Social Media Team - Variable hours from Friday - Monday

All stewards will have to do one evening shift, you can tell us on the application form which days you’d prefer so you don’t miss your favourite acts. Compulsory training for all stewarding positions is on Thursday 25th May at 6.00pm or Friday 26th May at 10am and will last around an hour. 

 

What do I get?

You receive 2 full weekend tickets including camping worth £130 & a free festival programme.
A great way to meet new people - but also fun to do with your friends. If a group of you want to apply do so. We’ll try and arrange your shifts so you can spend your free time enjoying the festival.

 

Some of our main team started out stewarding and worked their
way up; so if your thinking of a career in events management Mello Festival will be great experience.

 

 

Do I have to pay a deposit?

No, we’re one of the few festivals who don’t ask you to pay a deposit up front to be a steward.

 

Rules...

Stewards must be 18 or over before 25th May 2017.
 

Stewards must, at all times, act responsibly & observe good health & safety practice.

 

No alcohol to be brought into the main arena.

Sunshine Festival operates a zero tolerance
to illegal drugs; don’t bring them or use them.

 

We will do everything we can to look after our stewards, after all, if we don’t look after you how can we expect you to look after our great festival go-ers.All we ask is that you turn up on time for your allocated shift and work to the best of your ability.
